Game Day
Game Day Uniforms
Meals
Players stay after school on game days. They are fed a full team meal typically between 3-4 PM, which is covered via funds collected at the beginning of the season (currently $120). We also use these funds to feed the coaches.
During the 2022-2023 season, players were fed a rotation of pasta (options with red or white sauce and chicken, meatballs, or vegetarian), Chick-fil-a, and subs. Each meal includes a variety of sides, such as salad, fruit, gogurts. cheese sticks, chips, cookies, etc.

Transportation
The team takes the bus to and from away games. They return their game day uniform when they return to the school so that it can be washed.....and also so it doesn't get misplaced. The jerseys are VERY expensive, therefore one'-off jerseys are not replaced. They typically take their school stuff with them. Riding home with parents is at the discretion of the Coach.
Plan to pick up your athlete in the Middle Creek Community Center parking lot for both home and away games.
DO NOT park in the Middle Creek Community Center lot during games or you risk having your vehicle towed.

Fundraising/Donations
The county provides limited resources for sports. Football is an expensive sport (facilities, protective equipment, uniforms, practice equipment, etc). Our program relies on fundraising.
Financial contributions
We welcome donations any time of the year. At the start of the season, we participate in a fundraising effort to request donations. In recent years we have conducted Snap Raise campaigns to raise funds.
Football Yearbook Program
We publish a football 'yearbook' each season. These yearbooks serve as both a keepsake and a fundraiser for our program. We sell spots in the program for corporate sponsors and player tribute ads. Each program includes our team rosters, and individual player photos. You can check them out on this site under the link for 'program yearbook.'
Half-time Treats and Post Game Drinks
We have a tradition of providing rice krispy treats to the players during half time and post game Gatorades. We will put out a request for these items at the start of the season.
Volunteering
Keeping the program running is a team effort on and off the field. We expect parent participation. We utilize sign-up genius throughout the season for a lot of our volunteer needs.
Concessions
The Stampede Club runs concessions. Generally at lease one Board member from the Stampede Club is present to oversee concessions and the football parents staff it. Each family is expected to sign up for at least one concession shift. This is a great opportunity to get to know other parents. Note that no one under 18 is allowed in concessions, unless it is a preapproved high school volunteer (typically key club students seeking volunteer hours).
Mustang crew
The Mustang Crew provides game day needs, such as chains, field painting, filming, the game clock, etc. These volunteers typically have the best seat in the house and they get into the games for free when volunteering.
Stadium Cleanup
The Stampede Club sponsors a stadium cleanup twice a year (Spring and Fall). Parents and athletes are ask to come out to help clean the stadium (including concessions and the press box)..
Traditions & Events
Beginning of the season kick-off
The North Carolina High School Athletic Association regulates the calendar for the timing of the high school sports program. The official season typically begins the first week of August. There is typically a mandatory athlete and parent meeting at the end of the week to kick-off the season.
Hiester Bowl
What is it? The Hiester Bowl was started in 2019 as an idea of the GM at the John Hiester CDJ dealership in Lillington, who has been a Middle Creek football parent and supporter for a long time. It is a rivalry game between Middle Creek and Fuquay Varina. Here are the current standings…..
8/19/2021 MCHS win 36-35
8/20/2021 FVHS win 21-14
4/9/2021 MCHS win 27-12
11/8/2019 FVHS win 28-26
What is the prize? Bragging rights, of course! And, the winning team takes home the trophy until the following year. Players get t-shirts. A free raffle will be held (it has been a 55" tv the past couple of years).
What else? The John Hiester dealership in Lillington provides a cash sponsorship to our football team for our participation. Please help support this event. Be sure to visit the dealership for your car needs and tell them that you are part of the MCHS Football Family.

Senior Night
During senior night we celebrate our seniors during a pre-game ceremony. This tradition recognizes the seniors with a special send-off before their last home game. This event takes a lot of planning and coordination. We will be reaching out for volunteers!
